Portage Fire Department is a progressive, active fire department where hard work, dedication, and intense training are a must. PFD is a 62-member department that works the customary 24/48 duty rotation. There are 48 Firefighters cross-trained as paramedics and all of our Firefighters are Emergency Medical Technicians.
